"Negro Week" was a program on the contributions of blacks to American culture held at the New York World's Fair in July 1940, and consisted of festivals, exhibitions, song and dance recitals, choral and symphonic music, concerts, religious services, guest speakers, and a children's program.

The New World's Fair of 1939-1940 was held at Flushing Meadow in the Borough of Queens in New York City. State and federal cooperation was facilitated by the creation of the New York State World's Fair Commission and the United States World's Fair Commission. Sixty nations were represented at the Fair whose central theme was "Building the World of Tomorrow."
