New York Zoological Society. Board of Trustees. World's Fair Committee.
Ad hoc committee formed in 1937 to plan the Society's participation in the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair. In 1938 the Executive Committee formed the NYZoS Corporation to manage fund raising, construction, and operation of the Society's exhibit building. Members of the Committee included Fairfield Osborn, chairman, Vincent Astor, W. Redmond Cross, Alfred Ely, Marshall Field, and John N. Schiff.
