Thomas Tudor Tucker was a physician, member of the Continental Congress from 1787-1788, South Carolina representative to the first two congresses under the Federal Constitution (U.S.) and U.S. Treasurer from 1801-1828. He was born in Port Royal, Bermuda in 1745, migrated to Charleston in early adulthood, served as a surgeon in the American Army during the Revolutionary War, and died in Washington, D.C. in 1828.
