William Conant Church (1836-1917) was co-editor with his brother, Francis P. Church, of The Galaxy, a literary monthly, and The Army and Navy Journal, a weekly newspaper devoted to the interests of the U.S. military. The Galaxy was absorbed in 1878 by Atlantic Monthly.
