Biographical notes:
David Roberts was a Quaker farmer from Moorestown, New Jersey. He was born on the 14th of the 2nd month 1792 to Joseph Roberts and Susanna Coles Roberts. In 1815 he married Rachel Hunt, daughter of Joshua Hunt and Esther Roberts Hunt Collins, with whom he had nine children. From 1858 to 1861, he served as Superintendent of Westtown School. Roberts was a member of Chester Montly Meeting. He died on December 9th, 1880.
