Henry James (1843-1916) was an American novelist, short story writer, critic, and dramatist. William James (1842-1910) was an American philosopher and psychologist, a professor of psychology and philosophy at Harvard University, and the brother of novelist Henry James. James Brand Pinker (1863-1922) was the founder of James B. Pinker and Son, a firm of literary agents in London. Pinker was literary and dramatic agent to both Henry and William James.
