Enoch Roberts was a Quaker associated with Evesham Monthly Meeting and the Township of Chester in Burlington County. He was born on the 27th of the 10th month 1717 (old style) to John and Mary (Elkinton), the third child out of eight. His first marriage was to Rachel Coles, Daughter of Samuel, with whom he had seven children named Mary, Samuel, Elizabeth, Rachel, Esther, Sarah, and Enoch. In 1778, he married Agnes Hewlings, widow of Jacob Hewlings, of the Township of Evesham. Roberts died on September 12 1782.
