Simonson (1888-1967) was an American scenographer and one of the founders and directors of the Theatre Guild, and director of the American National Theatre and Academy, the Museum of Costume Art, N.Y., and the International Exhibition of Theatre Art, (NY, 1934). He graduated from Harvard College in 1909.
