Biographical notes:
Enoch Roberts was a Quaker associated with Chester and Evesham Monthly Meetings. He was born on the 12th of the 12th month 1768 to John and Phebe; the eldest child of five. His first wife was Hannah Shute (m. 1792), daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Shute of Chester, with whom he had two children named Amosa and Arthur. His second wife was Anne, with whom he had two more children named John and Nathan.
