Title:
Quick-Garretson family papers, 1745-1904 1765-1867.
This collection contains the papers of various members of the Quick-Garretson Family, spanning the years 1745 to 1904. The bulk of the papers possibly belonged to Abraham Quick, who acted as Executor for the estates of various deceased individuals, both within his family and for others that resided within his native Franklin Township in Somerset County, New Jersey. Most of these papers are documents pertaining to the settlement of the estates of Jacob Bergen, Isaac Brooks, Elbert Dumont, Nicholas Lake, John Van Dyke, and others. Quick's papers date from about 1750 to 1825. Later papers mostly belong to the Garretson Family, with the bulk of the papers attributed to John Garretson, an attorney who had offices in Jersey City, New Jersey. Also included in the collection are legal records signed by Abraham Blauvelt, Theodore Frelinghuysen, Richard Howell, William Paterson (1745-1806), and Richard Stockton (1764-1828).

Elizabeth R. Boyd Historical Collection on Rutgers University, 1795-1956
Title:
Guide to the Elizabeth R. Boyd Historical Collection on Rutgers University, 1795-1956
This collection primarily consists of Rutgers University documents and notes and printed material relating to Rutgers. Many of the original Rutgers University documents were housed in the Rutgers University Archives for a number of years. Then they became separated. At some point, perhaps in the 1950s, these documents came into the possession of Elizabeth R. Boyd, who worked in the Rutgers University Library in the 1930s through the 1950s and was the first curator of the Rutgersensia collection, which was a collection of historical information on Rutgers. Other information regarding painters and paintings was compiled by Alexander Stuart Graham who worked in the Rutgers University Library in the 1920s and 1930s. Although some of the materials were originally housed in different collections, their collation into the Boyd collection has been maintained, with some exceptions. The collection is divided into three series: I. Rutgers University Files, II. William Henry Steele Demarest Files, and III. Boyd/Graham Files

Inventory to the Records of the Peithessophian Society of Rutgers College 1825-1927
Records of the Peithessophian Society, a student literary group founded at Rutgers College in 1825 for the intellectual broadening of its members. The Society ranged widely in membership size, probably over one hundred by the mid-19th century. It declined in membership after the Civil War, although it continued to exist until the late 1890's. It was revived briefly in the 1920's.

Papers, 1785-1902 (bulk 1809-1876).
The papers of Samuel G. Wright document his activities as a New Jersey gentleman farmer, a Philadelphia merchant, an ironmaster and a member of the New Jersey Legislature as well as his private investments in land and securities. As such it is a valuable source on the details of the early nineteenth century iron industry and its allied activities, including coastwise shipping, on the impact of economic fluctuations during the Jacksonian Era, on the linkages between eastern merchants and the developing West, and on everyday life in rural New Jersey and Delaware.
