Belin-du Pont-Copeland family papers, 1788-1972.

The collection consists primarily of personal papers of the Belin, Copeland and du Pont families. Letters of Henry Hedrick Belin (1804-1891) describe his employment by the Du Pont Company. Letters of Henry Belin, Jr. (1843-1917) include descriptions of service and events during the Civil War. Other Civil War news and descriptions of campaigns and camp life can be found among the letters of Mary Belin du Pont (1839-1913), John Underwood (1835-1892), Robert Underwood (1842-1874) and John P. Wales (1831-1912).
