Smythe, Louisa McCord, 1845-1928
Variant namesLouisa McCord Smythe (1845-1928) was the wife of Augustine Thomas Smythe (1842-1914), a Charleston, South Carolina attorney and South Carolina state senator. She was the daughter of David James McCord (1797-1855) and Louisa Susanna Cheves. Mrs. Smythe served as president of the Charleston chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
