Born in Albany, Linn Co., Oregon. Moved to Kirkland, Washington. -

Graduated from the University of Washington at Seattle. -

Called into the Federal service with the Washington National Guard. Served overseas for 10 months with the 48th Coast Artillery Corps. -
1919. June:
Discharged as a Captain. -
1920 -30. :Vice-president, director, manager of mortgage loan dept. of the Seattle Title Trust Co. -
1930 -34 :President, Seattle Mortgage Loan Co. -
