Ruth Pershing Uhler served as the first Curator of Education at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (1950?-1979). She was followed by Chairperson Celeste Adams (1979-1984), Director Robert Roman (1984-1986) and Director Beth Schneider (1986-2007). The department plans and implements educational offerings such as exhibitions, symposia, lectures, performances, family and school programs.
