Biographical notes:

Five times president of UAW Local 140. Organizer of the "Reuther Caucus" which was successful in electing Walter P. Reuther to the presidency of the UAW in 1946. Assistant to the UAW Region 1 director. Served on the Detroit Area Labor Management Committee, the World Auto Council and the Michigan Blue Cross Blue Shield Board of Directors.
