The collection consists of a variety of materials including annual reports, minutes, organization history, forms, correspondence, nursing stories, minutes, reports, procedure manuals, news clippings, program information and membership, newsletters, scrapbooks, videotapes, and photographs, documenting the organization over 81 years of service in Allegheny County. Annual reports document the services provided during a particular time period, as well as the fiscal information. The nurses documented their home visits through stories. The sub-stations implemented projects where they created booklets on baby care, hygiene, and other issues promoting health. The scrapbooks document the organizations active role in the community through their presence in newspapers and magazine articles.
