With the letters are several revisions of poems translated by Belitt including "Amado Nervo," "Deaths of Buenos Aires, " "Poem of the gifts, " "Rosas, " and "To Francisco Lopez Merino." Also included is a program for a reading by di Giovanni, an introduction for di Giovanni by Belitt, and an article by di Giovanni "On translating with Borges." Series I of the collection consists of 33 autograph and typescript letters and postcards exchanged between Katherine Mansfield, John Middleton Murry (her second husband), and Michael Sadleir (her publisher at Constable); and 10 autograph and typescript letters exchanged between Thomas Moult, Ben Belitt, John Middleton Murry and Constable in reference to Mansfield, her poetry and her biography. The correspondence dates from 1920 to 1939. Following the correspondence is a group of 17 black and white photographs taken by J. Michael D. Hardwick of Wellington, New Zealand, circa 1958. the photographs are views of Mansfield's homes, school and memorial. Series II consists of writings and research material relating to Jeffrey Meyers' book, Katherine Mansfield, A Biography published in 1978. The collection contains Drewry's correspondence with publishers, anthologizers and admirers of his own poetry as well as with other poets whose work he edited for Voices magazine. Much of the correspondence was generated by his service as president of the Poetry Society of Virginia and concerns the arranging of meetings and the awarding of prizes. The papers also include some of Drewry's poetry as well as contracts, royalty statements, programs, plaques and fliers. Also included is Lyric Virginia Today, Vol. 2, 1956 (188 p.) and Virginia Reader, 1945 (576 p.). Both volumes contain selections by Mr. Drewry, poet laureate of Virginia. In addition, there are two plaster plaques, 1970, of Mr. Drewry's profile. The typescripts of The Writhen Wood (1952) and Cloud Above Clock Time (1956) are press copies for Drewry's books of poetry.
