Katherine Mansfield collection 1907-1978.

Series I of the collection consists of 33 autograph and typescript letters and postcards exchanged between Katherine Mansfield, John Middleton Murry (her second husband), and Michael Sadleir (her publisher at Constable); and 10 autograph and typescript letters exchanged between Thomas Moult, Ben Belitt, John Middleton Murry and Constable in reference to Mansfield, her poetry and her biography. The correspondence dates from 1920 to 1939. Following the correspondence is a group of 17 black and white photographs taken by J. Michael D. Hardwick of Wellington, New Zealand, circa 1958. the photographs are views of Mansfield's homes, school and memorial. Series II consists of writings and research material relating to Jeffrey Meyers' book, Katherine Mansfield, A Biography published in 1978. Included in this material are photocopies of Mansfield letters; 236 letters, postcards and telegrams exchanged between Meyers and friends, family and acquaintances of Mansfield. also included are notes and drafts of the book along with research material such as travel brochures, maps, photographs, etc.
