The William Carey Crane Papers consist of various materials pertaining to the former Baylor president. It was contributed through various gifts and transfers, with much of the collection donated by Crane's son Judge Royston C. Crane. The chronology of the collection stretches from 1809 to 1944, but the bulk of the materials originated during William Carey Crane's prestigious career as pastor and educator (1834-1885). Many materials are general correspondence and literary productions, but the collection also includes personal correspondence, family correspondence, legal documents, financial documents, and photographic materials.
