Radio scripts, 1948-1950.

Radio scripts for Terence Rattigan's, The Winslow boy, and Robert Louis Stevenson's, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; both adapted by Leslie Reade. Collection includes two drafts of each script, including the final broadcast version, presented by the United States Steel Corporation in the radio drama series, Theater Guild on the Air.

Theater Guild on the Air opened as a Sunday feature on ABC for United States Steel on September 9, 1945. It was the radio arm of the Theatre Guild, a small production company originally formed by theater people just after World War I. Robert Lewis (later changed to "Louis") Balfour Stevenson was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on November 13, 1850. He attended the University of Edinburgh intending to become a civil engineer like his father, but ill health curtailed his studies and prompted him to travel to warmer climates.
