Delaware State Grange records, 1883-1892.

Incorporation charter and stock certificate (1883-1885) of Delaware Fruit Exchange which provided farmers with a central location for marketing their fruit crops, thus providing lower freight rates, broader markets, and better service; together with papers from a suit brought before the Interstate Commerce Commission by the Delaware State Grange regarding long haul/short haul railroad rates (1887-1892) and charging the railroads with unfair practices. After four years, the case was decided in favor of the Grange in 1891.
