Peter Middagh, a resident of Hunterdon County in New Jersey, served in the New Jersey Provincial Assembly in the year 1754. In 1760, he acted as paymaster for the New Jersey Regiment. Middagh's grandfather, Aert Middagh (Meddach), emigrated from Heikop, Utrecht Province, the Netherlands in 1661.
