Sarah Lyttelton diaries, 1890-1905.

Diaries record Lyttelton's daily life and travels and include her views on political events, her accounts of meeting literary and political figures, and her descriptions of her own reading. Two diaries also contain photographs, postcards, and clippings. There are mentions of Arthur J. Balfour, Austin Dobson, W. E. Gladstone, Kate Greenaway, Vernon Lee, Frederick Locker-Lampson, Sybella Lyttelton, and Charles Stewart Parnell, among others. Diaries are dated May 1890-September 1891; October 1891-July 1894; and January 1899-October 1905. Third diary has printed verion of Lyttelton's "Charlotte Mary Yonge" from "The Cornhill Review" (August 1934) laid in.
