Dr. John Singleton was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 7, 1930. He earned an A.B. from Oberlin College in Mathematics and Education in 1952 and an A.M. from Haverford College in their Social and Technical Assistance Program. In 1953, Singleton also earned his first grade professional certificate for secondary teaching in North Dakota. Singleton earned his Ph.
