Bauskett, Edgefield, S.C., responding to theological questions she raised concerning "what is to become of us after death"; letter, 11 Feb. 1848, S.E. Bauskett to her niece, Caroline J. McCarthy [Ursuline nun Borgia MacCarthy, originally Isabella MacCarthy, native of Cork, Ireland, born 1792, professed 1816] apologizing for Susan's bad writing, advising Mrs. Bauskett that the date of her daughter's first Communion had been set, inviting prayers on her behalf, and asking that she send the dress for Susan's first Communion.
