2 CDs of scanned manuscripts related to Michigan history collected by Fred R. Trelfa. The first CD, labeled Trelfa Collection, Alpena Co. Library, Index, Book, June 3, 2009, includes scans of Fred R. Trelfa's scrapbook. The first part is a 351 p. Alphabetical Index of names and topics. The rest of the CD is the scanned scrapbook, Volume 1, of mostly Alpena, Michigan, and some general Michigan history, 1887-1940, which is divided into seven sections. Section 1 is pp. 1-30 of the scrapbook; section 2 is pp. 31-60; section 3 is only p. 35; section 4 is pp.61-90; section 5 is pp. 91-120; section 6 is pp. 121-150; and section 7 is pp.151-169. The second CD, labeled Trelfa Collection, Boxes 1 & 2, was from a different donor. It includes scans of 256 ship manifests of canoes, ships, and vessels passing through Michilimackinac, 1805-1860, Box 1 Folder 1-Box 2, Folder 2, and 140 records (correspondence, contracts, and other related documents) of the American Fur Company in Sault Ste. Marie, 1838-1847, Box 2 Folder 3-Box 2 Folder 6. While the scrapbook is all in English, the manifests and American Fur Company records are written in both French and English.

Trelfa (1886-1929) was a historian from Alpena (Mich.). Several of his and his brother Tom's collections about early Michigan history are in the Clarke Historical Library. Nothing further is known about Lamb. Montreal (Keweenaw County, Mich.) was a copper mining area that later became part of the Clark Mine.
