Family papers, 1864-1963.

Family papers, 1864-1963, undated, consists largely of family correspondence, mostly between Theodore M. Joslin, Jr. and Sr., and between Theodore, Jr., his wife, Mary H., and their daughter, Cora. Family photographs, newspaper clippings, miscellaneous, a composition book, legal records, meeting minutes and incorporation papers of the Adrian Realty Company's Board of Directors, and four oversized scrapbooks with clippings about Theodore Sr. and Jr., as well as other politicians complete the collection. The collection document these Joslins as well as other family members and the Michigan gubanatorial campaigns of Robert B. Horton (1918) and Hazen S. Pingree (1896).

Theodore M. Joslin (Nov. 25, 1829- ) was the son of John and Roxana Chandler McEwen Joslin. He was born in Madison County (N.Y.). In 1889 and 1891 he taught school in Jackson County (Mich.). He later worked as a lawyer in the firm of Lamb and Joslin in Adrian (Mich.). Joslin ran unsuccessfully as a Progressive Party candidate for the U.S. Senate (1912) and s a Republican candidiidate for the Mich. gubanatorial nomination (1922). He married Mary E.
