Jesuit missionary to the Iroquois. Millet arrived in Canada in 1667, and worked among the Onondaga, 1668-1671, and the Oneida, 1671-1684. From 1684 to 1689, he served as chaplain and interpreter at Forts Niagara and Frontenac. Captured in June of 1689 by Iroquois who believed the missionary had betrayed them, Millet's life was spared through the influence of Christian Oneidas.
