Ismar David papers, 1938-1996 (inclusive), 1952-1990 (bulk).

The papers consist of personal and business correspondence; photographs; clippings; sketches, drawings, and mechanicals; photo-engraved printing blocks; metal type; two- and three-dimensional samples and printed pieces, including a large number of book jackets and covers; three-dimensional architectural models; and photographic documentation of work created for corporate clients. David's correspondence files hold letters from friends such as Rollo Silver, Paul Standard, Jeanyee Wong, and Lili Wronker, and corporate clients that include a wide variety of publishers, synagogues, and cemeteries companies. A selection of books which include designs by Ismar David accompanied the papers; they have been cataloged separately.
