Old Boulder City photograph albums 1866-1925. 1866-1925.

This collection contains 2 volumes that hold 59 early photographs of the city of Boulder, Colo. "Rocky Mountain Joe" Sturtevant, Boulder's pioneer photographer, took most of them; some of the earliest photos were taken by an unidentified photographer. Volume 1 contains 40 views of Boulder, ca. 1872-1903; most of these are street views. Volume 2 contains 19 photos, of the Boulder Chautauqua and the nearby landscape, dating from 1899 through 1925, but mostly ca. 1899-1902.
