Thomas Mifflin (January 10, 1744 – January 20, 1800) was an American merchant, soldier, and politician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He served in a variety of roles during and after the American Revolution, several of which qualify him to be counted among the Founding Fathers. He was the first governor of Pennsylvania, serving from 1790 to 1799; he was also the last president of Pennsylvania, succeeding Benjamin Franklin and serving from 1788 until 1790. Denny, Ebenezer, 1761-1822

Denny (March 11, 1761-July 21, 1822) was born in Carlisle (Pa.). He served as an officer in the Indian and Revolutionary wars. In 1793 he retired as a Capt. and married. He was re-instated as Major in 1794 and put in charge of the expedition to Le Boeuf and Presque Isle. In 1816 Denny became the first mayor of Pittsburgh (Pa.).
