Family Papers, 1898-1987 include the papers of Michigan sisters, Nellie Mae and Verna Lucil[l]e Campbell, sisters, who graduated from Central Michigan Normal School (CMNS) and Central State Teachers College (CSTC), now Central Michigan University and taught for many years in Michigan and Ohio schools. Included are their obituaries, 1948, 1987, teaching and graduation certificates, 1915-1916, 1920, 1923, 1930-1931, Nellie's transcripts, 1924-1930,her 1900 CMNS graduation program, her paper on the history of CSTC, her 1973 50th anniversary scrapbook for the class of 1923, and Verna's 1910 CSNS graduation program.

Maybee was a history professor at CMU. The Clarke Historical Library has several of his publications and his papers. The Advisory Committee developed plans for major events, publications, re-dedications of campus buildings, presentations, and a historical marker for CMU's 75th Anniversary. Nellie (Dec. 12, 1883-Aug. 5, 1948) and Verna (Oct. 1, 1896-Sept. 23, 1987) were both born in Isabella County (Mich.). Nellie earned a lifetime teaching certificate from CSTC, 1916, and a B.A. from CMNS, 1930. She taught Sr. English in public schools beginning at age 17, at Grandon School (Marion, Mich.), and for her last 24 years at Robinson School (Toledo, Ohio).
