Agronomist. Anderson received his B.A. (1929) in agronomy; his M.S. (1949); and his Ph. D (1955) in agricultural economics and soil management from Iowa State University. He was employed as a Wayne County 4-H agent (1939-1940); joined the ISU Extension Service in 1942; and served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946.
