The collection includes correspondence, memoranda, financial records, meeting agenda and minutes, committee files, and other records documenting the work of the SIO Office of the Deputy Director during the administration of Tom Collins. The records include chronological correspondence files dated 1983-1995, substantial documentation of the Aquarium-Museum, Development Office, SIO Communications and other offices. The files include SIO, UCSD and other committee records. The files document special events, such as the 1988 visit of Vice President George Bush to SIO.
