Receipt signed by Little Billy with his mark at Buffalo, June 5, 1830, indicating that he had received a $100 annuity payment from Herman Le Roy, a prominent N.Y. merchant named trustee "of certain Seneca chiefs" by Jasper Parrish, "Late Sub Agent of the United States to the six Nations of Indians." The annuity stemmed from the 1797 Treaty of Big Tree, in which the Senecas ceded most of their lands in western New York, the title of which was bought up by Robert Morris.
