January 28, 1819, letter from John Gregg of Augusta, N.Y., to John Tayler, former lieutenant governor and governor of New York, regarding a dispute between the New Stockbridge Indians and their minister, John Sergeant, over the proceeds of land sales (in preparation for resettlement in the west) and the reservation of a minister's lot (250 acres) in New Stockbridge.
