Indian agent, 1812-1830. Residing in Peoria, Ill., since 1804, Thomas Forsyth was appointed Indian sub-agent without specific assignment in 1812. In 1818, he was appointed agent for the Missouri Territory and was stationed by 1821 in Sauk and Fox country at Fort Armstrong on Rock Island.
