Ronald and Isabelle Brown papers, series II, 1911-2003.

Consists of biographical information, miscellaneous correspondence and documents, speeches, brochures, clippings, notes and scrapbooks and photographs. The collection relates primarily to the business and philanthropic activities of Ronald and Isabelle Brown, particularly Ronald's work with the Juvenile Court and Ohio Department of Aging, and Isabelle's involvement in the National Council of Jewish Women and the International Council of Jewish Women. Two scrapbooks document Isabelle's work with the International Council of Jewish Women in Australia and New Zealand in 1967 and Ronald's retirement from Tremco Manufacturing Company in 1960. A small group of photographs include family, Tremco, International Council of Jewish Women, Ohio Dept. of Aging, Juvenile Court, and Isabelle with Eleanor Roosevelt. Ronald's two books on sales and management are also included.

Ronald Brown was born in Chicago, Ill., but raised and educated in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1928, he founded, along with William C. Treuhaft and Elmer C. Hann, the Tremco Manufacturing Company in Cleveland. Brown was a vice president of Tremco. After retirement from the company in 1960, he became a management consultant.
