Ronald Brown was born in Chicago, Ill., but raised and educated in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1928, he founded, along with William C. Treuhaft and Elmer C. Hann, the Tremco Manufacturing Company in Cleveland. Brown was a vice president of Tremco. After retirement from the company in 1960, he became a management consultant. Brown was the author of From Selling to Managing: Guidelines for the First-Time Sales Manager. His volunteer and philanthropic activities included work for the Jewish Big Brothers Association of Cleveland, the Citizen's Advisory Board to the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, the Ohio Department on Aging, and the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Board of Education. He married Isabelle Gup in 1934. She was a graduate of Case Western Reserve University. Active in the Cleveland Section, National Council of Jewish Women, she served as president of that organization and was active on the national and international level. She also was first chair of the Women's Organization of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland, served on the national executive council of the American Jewish Committee, and was the first chair of the Greater Cleveland Women's Committee for Civil Rights.

Ronald Brown and his wife, Isabelle Brown, were community activists in Cleveland, Ohio, involved in local, national, and international social and philanthropic agencies. Ronald Brown was one of the founders and vice president of Tremco Manufacturing Company and a management consultant and author. He was particularly involved with the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, the Ohio Dept. of Aging, and the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Board of Education. His wife, Isabelle Brown, was especially involved with the National Council of Jewish Woman and the International Council of Jewish Women.
