Letter to General James Jackson, in Savannah, Ga., enclosing a copy [not present] of William Moultrie's manuscript for Memoirs of the American Revolution with the request that he read it and "give a concise narration of the events in which you were personally concerned - a fair occasion now offers for correcting some errors & falsehoods which have been published," adding that Moultrie planned to take the manuscript to New York for publication sometime around 1 July 1802.
