Expressing his joy at the "indescribable fortune" with which he has been met [the promise of support from King Ludwig II of Bavaria], describing how this wonderful gift of fate will allow him to give Tristan, and the Ring according to his plan, noting the prodigious envy he has met owing to the king's promise, saying he can already twist [Franz] Lachner around his little finger, etc.
