Saying that if his little Wolfgang were not ill Riedel would be on his way to Berchtesgaden, mentioning Hiltl's illness, saying he is glad the recipient agrees with him regarding the Franz Abt Denkmal, that he has written to Hofkontitor Wagner about it, reporting on the theatre and opera--he likes Krüger as Othello but not as Egmont--, mentioning [Wagner's] Rheingold, the death of the music teacher Richter, etc.
