Thanking him for a locket, saying Mr. Mellon is recovering from his fall, asking him to tell Lady Carrington that Mellon has never tutored any young lady in the part of Desdemona, "looking upon theatrical tuition generally as absurd," asking his advice on representing "a woman of common order very domesticated," saying it would be unwise for her to remain in the theatre where she now feels "so cruelly humiliated," mentioning Mr. Toole, etc.
