Asking if she has news of Mme Melba, saying he told her of his pleasure at Manon in London, mentioning his friend Castelmary[?], enclosing [not present] the portrait for B. F. Saville, secretary of the Springfield festival, adding that that he plans to write for her a scene for voice and orchestra but that he has not decided on the text, sending greetings to Miss Kemp, etc.
