Saying that her concert debut was in Mme [Mathilde] Marchesi's class at the [Vienna] Conservatory with the aria of "La jeune fille;" she then sang, at the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde, in "Paradis et Péri" [Robert Schumann's Das Paradies und die Peri] at the request of Mme Schumann, who played the piano at all the rehearsals; recalling the difficulties of "La jeune fille" and her success in conquering them; adding that her dream to sing the role of the Peri has now been realized at the Théâtre-Italien under Bagier's direction; and saying that Massenet should come to Vienna where Le Cid is being given with Mme [Pauline] Lucca.
