Autograph letters signed (3), dated : Palma, 21 November 1838, London, 1 August 1848, and Mid-Calder, 15 August 1848, to Camille Pleyel, 1838 Nov. 21 and 1848 Aug. 1.

Describing the pleasures of Palma, saying that his health is better, asking him to send greetings M. and Mlle Denoyers, complaining that his piano has not yet arrived and that "there are no pianos to be had here--in that respect it is a barbarous country," saying that M. Mankowski is bringing Pleyel the £80 that Chopin just received for Pleyel's piano, and saying that Lady Trotter gave him £80 for one of Pleyel's pianos, a sum that Mankowski was kind enough to take to Pleyel, describing the house he is in (an old manor where John Knox celebrated communion for the first time), etc.
