Earlier referred to as the Pacifist Research Commission, the Pacifist Research Bureau was formed in March 1942 by a representative group of religious pacifists from churches and leading pacifist organizations. It based its work upon the philosophy of pacifism, the creation of a world brotherhood, and sacrificial good will as the only means of overcoming evil.
