Contains seven series: 1) Correspondence of Byron (Box 1, folders 1-4), consisting of letters to and from Lord Grey of Ruthin and to Francis Hodgson, Edward Noel Long, and John Murray; 2) Writings of Byron (Box 1, folders 5-7), consisting of a manuscript draft of a verse translation of Anacreon and a bound copy of a printed response to a magazine article, with three manuscript pages bound in; 3) Correspondence of Others (Box 1, folders 8-13), consisting of letters from the Contessa di Guiccioli and Lady Caroline Lamb to Lady Morgan, from Leigh Hunt to John Hunt, from Sir Walter Scott to Mrs. Charles Robert Maturin and Thomas Moore, and from Moore to an unidentified recipient; 4) Lithographs (Box 1, folders 14-15), of Byron and Sir Walter Scott; 5) two Sangorski & Sutcliffe display albums (Box 2), one of which contained the Grey of Ruthin correspondence and has a lock of Byron's hair in its cover and the other of which held the Guccioli, Lamb, and Gamba correspondence and has locks of hair and portraits of Byron, Guccioli, and Lamb in it; 6) Oversize Correspondence (Box 3, folders 16-17), consisting of an exchange of notes between Count Gamba and Byron and a letter from Byron to Hodgson; 7) Byron's Will, 1809 (Box 3, folder 18).
