The bulk of the William Jardine papers concern Wichita State University and its continued expansion. Faculty matters and commencement ceremonies of the 1940's are covered extensively. The collection also includes material on student aid, housing an expanded number of university departments, sorority and fraternity matters, and campus parking. Material involving Jardine's work as a diplomat in Egypt and as Secretary of Agriculture is also included in the collection.
