Historic records about the founding and development of the foundation, the parent organization of the American Museum of the Moving Image. Material includes a feasibility study prepared by the Office of Technical Assistance called "Of Need and Potential Uses of the Motion Picture Production facilities at Astoria, Long Island," 1970; a report about the Astoria Studios for the New York State Council on the Arts, 1978, describing goals, plans for use of studios, projected costs of programs, and expected returns, 1978. Also a history of Astoria Studios from the Paramount years, 1920-1941, and the Army years, 1942-1971. Other reports, some articles, and news clippings, complete the collection.
